Co-Founder & Managing Partner

Edmundo is a technologist specialized in software engineering, business transformation, data science & analytics; building upon advanced financial knowledge and entrepreneurship skills. Throughout his 15+ years of career, he has architected, developed and deployed high-volume transactional systems and data warehouse solutions that leverage scalable cloud infrastructure to power complex analytical pipelines and algorithms.

Edmundo co-founded Angle Consulting to provide a new approach to digital transformation projects, aiming to simplify complexities, streamline processes and solve actual problems. As Managing Partner, he is responsible for the firm's strategic planning and business development initiatives, focused on expanding its service offerings to clients in the Americas. With Angle and its in-house team of consultants, Edmundo has led many projects across multiple industries, from small websites and mobile apps, to high-end transactional systems and large-scale enterprise applications implementations. His consulting approach is centered on an immersive collaboration with clients to guarantee the success of business transformation initiatives, ensuring a perfect fit of functionality, performance, integrity and user experience. Besides the consulting practice, Angle maintains proprietary products that blend technology, finance and process optimization to provide elegant solutions to common business problems.

In other ventures, Edmundo serves as Acting CIO and Advisor for various organizations. He is a Board Member and Advisor of Alprestamo, the leading financial marketplace for individuals in Latin America; Managing Director of Metacap, an algorithmic trading proprietary fund operating in the Mexican Stock Exchanges (BMV & BIVA); and Partner at Everise Capital, a private capital firm and financial technologies developer for alternative investments; among others.

Prior to co-founding Angle, Edmundo was Director of Technology and Principal Engineer at a technology startup delivering value added services to mobile carriers. During his tenure he architected and developed multiple digital platforms, while leading a multidisciplinary team that fueled the company to expand into Latin America establishing successful alliances with América Móvil (Telcel & Claro), Telefónica Movistar and Iusacell (now AT&T Mexico). His platforms leveraged cloud infrastructure for high-transactionality and high-availability, processing transactions for millions of subscribers in emerging markets, offering payments services via direct carrier billing and other technologies for abuse and spam prevention in messaging services.

Edmundo holds a Masters in Finance with honors from EGADE Business School and a Masters in Information Technology Management from Tec de Monterrey. He received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, and his BS in Mechatronics Engineering with honors from Tec de Monterrey. Edmundo is a lifetime member of the Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) International Honor Society of The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), and has received other academic excellence awards.

Aside from work and technology, Edmundo has a Minor in Music Theory from Tec de Monterrey and plays multiple instruments. He tries to spend as much time as possible on outdoors adventures riding motorcycles and mountain bikes.
